Written by: Bryony on Friday, 14 October 2016

Praxity – William Buck’s international alliance – has been named Association of the Year at the 2016 International Accounting Bulletin Awards.

It is the second time in three years that Praxity has scooped the prize, which was presented in London on 6 October. This follows the award of ‘Rising Star’ in 2013.

Judges were unanimous in their decision and praised Praxity’s global influence, impressive growth figures and its focus on “taking care of clients’ needs around the world, pooling knowledge and resources”.

Helen Jennings, Praxity’s Chief Operating Officer, said:

“Praxity has recorded nine years of consistent growth and now provides exclusive access to nearly 40,000 professionals in over 100 countries. Winning Association of the Year for the second time in three years reaffirms our position as the world’s no.1 alliance for independent accounting and business consulting firms.  The award recognises our members’ commitment to providing unrivalled client service”

The award provides confirmation that the alliance is moving in the right direction.   William Buck’s Chairman, Nick Hatzistergos, sits on Praxity’s Management Board which has been charged with setting the alliance’s strategic direction for the next three years.  He said:

“The alliance’s strategy has always centred around helping member firms to flourish in their chosen markets.  By bringing together like-minded professionals, I have confidence that Praxity will continue to be an influential and valuable association.

However, it’s important not to rest on our laurels. The Management Board’s focus will be on ensuring that we provide the upmost support for our members to make working across borders as easy as possible.”

For William Buck, the accolade is testimony to the value that Praxity brings to their clients in Australia and New Zealand.  Since becoming a member in 2008, William Buck has partnered with many Praxtiy firms across the globe to assist and support our clients with specialists on the ground who understand the local nuances, and legislative and reporting requirements.
