Melbourne City Mission hosts the Annual William Buck Day

Written by: William Buck on Tuesday, 29 November 2016

William Buck hosted their annual William Buck Day with Melbourne City Mission this year.

The William Buck Corporate Social Responsibility Committee chose Melbourne City Mission to host the event to celebrate the long term partnership the two organisations have had for over 10 years.

Looking to become more involved in the work we do, 120 William Buck staff were sent to different Melbourne City Mission sites over the course of the day to experience first-hand what we do. Visits included participating in Frontyard Youth Services' Homelessness tour; HEAT Training bake-offs; and cultural intelligence workshops facilitated by our social enterprise CQ Cultural Consulting.

The William Buck staff reconvened at Kings Way later that afternoon with a heightened awareness about the work of Melbourne City Mission and with great motivation to find meaningful ways to engage in our work.
