Get jiggy with the numbers: understanding your financial statements
Tuesday 15th November 10.00am

It’s difficult as an allied health professional as we learn how to be clinicians and practitioners but we don’t necessarily learn the financial aspects that are required to run a service, or run a business. In this session you will:

  • Gain knowledge on what makes up your Profit & Loss Statement, and Balance Sheet
  • Develop skills to calculate simple ratios from your financial statements, including profit margins
  • Develop an understanding on how these ratios reveal trends to enable you to make good business decisions or practice changes
  • Don't bury your head in the sand! If you know what to look for on your financial statements and what questions to ask your accountant, you are in a really good position to make better business decisions.
