This session will enable general practitioners to develop financial land business skills that will assist them in  
managing their medical practice, along with gaining  a deeper understanding of the critical commercial  
considerations facing the industry.

Course outline

Key business concepts in running a general practice and the common pitfalls  
to avoid

  • Identification nof the key profit tdrivers in a general practice
  • Practice valuation methods and key value drivers
  • The importance of strategic planning in general practice
  • The differing practice ownership models in the market along with examples  
  • of profitcost sharing arrangements
  • Emerging commercial trends facing general practitioners
  • Related supporting case studies.
