Advising on people’s financial affairs is as personal as being their doctor in many ways.

Chris Kennedy

Trust, empathy and understanding are a few of the words Chris uses when discussing the key qualities needed for his role. “Technical expertise is a given, but if you cannot relate well and have empathy for a client’s circumstances, you won’t be their advisor for long,” Chris explains.

While achieving good financial results is the key outcome of his work, Chris derives the most satisfaction from developing a much deeper connection with his clients. “I recently had a client tell me he had been diagnosed with a terminal disease. Apart from his wife, I was the first person he had told. That makes you understand the impact you can have in this role.”

A martial arts background has taught Chris a great deal about respect and remaining focussed on your goal. They’re qualities that he brings into his client work and knows that although there are many things outside your control, with constant communication and good advice, situations generally turn out for the best.

Chris has more than 30 years’ experience in the finance industry, including banking and financial planning. His area of expertise is superannuation, but he also specialises in financial planning and wealth creation.

Being a friendly and open person, Chris enjoys the relationships he builds with clients and helping to make a difference to their financial wellbeing and security for the future.
