spring edition 2012

We’ve once again endeavoured to select a breadth of articles that are both informative and topical for our clients and friends.

In this edition , we spend 5 minutes with Roger Masters, non-executive director and  former CEO of Capilano Honey.  Roger shares his insights on how brand development and a changing business model have seen Capilano Honey evolve from a small scale honey distributor to an iconic Australian brand.  William Buck are proud to have been part of this journey with the company.

We also explore the growth of philanthropy in Australia.  It’s a common misconception that philanthropy is reserved for the likes of Bill Gates and Dick Smith.  In fact, it’s more about planning, consideration and structure rather than the bestowment of large sums of money.

We also have two very practical articles that will assist businesses during tough times but are equally appropriate for general business conditions; “Understanding what banks look for” and “Cutting back for success.”

At an operational level, I am pleased to announce that we have merged with boutique firm Gateway Partners, and Siobhan Sellick has joined us from Ernst & Young as a Director in our Business Advisory practice.
